Tips to Harvard Referencing: The References are designed to make the content authenticated. The notion behind using the referencing is to protect the content from any sort of vague or ambiguous data. This also plays an active role in making the content qualitative in terms of the requirement of the paper designed.
The methodology adopted for the referencing style in case of Harvard requires remembering some key points. The surname of the author along with the publication year is mentioned in the text, along with the heading of references at the end of the assignment. The reference list also includes other relevant details such as the title and the name of the publisher.
At the time of referencing the work of the author, the requirement is to in text the name of the author along with the publication year and the pages of the reference and this should be entered in a bracket. The name of more then one author can also be cited in the text, but the names should be enclosed by the use of the proper semicolon and the commas.
When there are two authors the same work, in that case, the need is to reflect both the names in the text. In case of more than two authors for the same work, the first author�s name is included along with writing et al, which signifies; and others.
Regarding the unavailability of the date, the requirement is to mention n.d. that means the date is not available. In terms of mentioning the page numbers it proves to be helpful, in order to trace the sources used for the accomplishment of the work. If one author presents the same piece of work, but it was offered in the different years; In this case, the reference is supposed to be done in the chronological order. In terms of including the work from the published sources, the requirement is to put it in phrases and the quotations. All this shows the proper format of the referencing style in the Harvard and it is basically employed to make the content more refined.
